Kate Moss For French Vogue
Tags: Kate Moss, Vogue
Kate Moss not only covers the latest issue of British Vogue, but she also appears in a spread in the new French Vogue too. Entitled simply, Kate, it shows the supermodel in black and white, and although I’ve seen a lot better images of her, I absolutely fell in love with the Christian Louboutin thigh boots. The photos were taken by Inez and Vinoodh.

Tags: Eniko Mihalik, magazines, Vogue

It’s been about a week since I last heard from my native Hungarian Eniko, but now here we see her in a new spread, shot by Mario Sorrenti for the August issue of Vogue Italia. They have Fall written all over them (Summer is going by waaaay too fast.)

Vogue Australia Turns 50!

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Vogue Australia, so their September issue is chocked full of surprises, one being that there will be four covers all depicting Cate Blanchett. The illustrations were designed by David Downton. Look for the issue now at your local newsstand.

Eniko Mihalik in Vogue Nippon
Tags: Eniko Mihalik, magazines, Vogue

Posing on the cover of last month’s Voge Nippon is Eniko Mihalik, but in the June issue, she has a full photo shoot done by Emma Summerton. This is not your average fashion shoot. It’s definitely on some crazy voodoo tip, and we’re loving every image of it. We love Eniko!

The March issue of British Vogue features an editiorial, Acid Reign with a photo shoot taken by Patrick Demarchellier and featuring Kate Moss’ successor - yes, you guessed it - Agyness Deyn. The emphasis on light, shade, colours, shapes, and form is brilliant.

Eva Herzigova & Claudia Schiffer in Vogue Paris
Tags: Claudia Schiffer, Coco Chanel, Eva Herzigova, Karl Lagerfeld, Marcus Piggot, Mert Alas, Vogue

The March issue of Vogue Paris is a special edition dedicated to Coco Chanel, and the fashion house baring her name. The issue is full of special material including a photo shoot of Eva Herzigova and Claudia Schiffer posing in great outfits. The photos were taken by Karl Lagerfeld. The cover was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who supposedly ripped off a Vogue Italy cover from 1992. I can see the resemblance, but not enough to the point where I would make such a statement. They were also accused of such deed back in September of 2008. Well history repeats itself as they say, and there is nothing new under the sun. I’d chalk it up to a coincidence and leave it at that.

Michelle Obama on the Cover of Vogue
Tags: magazines, Michelle Obama, Vogue

You might have already heard that the cover of Vogue’s March issue will feature none other than First Lady, Michelle Obama. Since Lou Hoover, every First Lady has been featured in the magazine except for Bess Truman, but Michelle Obama is only the second to actually make it on the cover. Photography was done by the uber-talented Annie Leibovitz, and the interview by Andre Leon Talley. Michelle is wearing magenta dress designed by Jason Wu (he also provided the dress she wore at the inauguration ball).
I feel a bit ambivalent about the cover. I can’t really decide if I like it or not, but I’m more on the dislike side. The pose seems unnatural, Michelle’s smile seems too forced. It’s like she isn’t even really smiling. She just sort of exposed her pearly whites.

Eniko Mihalik: Aged 10 through 60
Tags: Eniko Mihalik, Inez Van Lamsweerde, Vinoodh Matadin, Vogue

We’ve been hearing more and more about Hungarian model Eniko Mihalik. Besides the the cover of French Vogue we recently showed you, she also appears inside the issue as part of an interesting photo series showing images of her in ten-year intervals. The first as a 10-year-old child all the way until an elderly 60-year-old. Amazing what good make-up, lighting, hair, facial expressions, etc… are capable of.
Photography by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and make up by Lisa Butler.
