For those who were lucky enough to attend Karl Lagerfeld’s 2010 Spring/Summer runway show in Paris, this video won’t bring all that interesting. However, if you weren’t, check it out. It seems that emphasizing the waist with belts will still be in next year. Shorts and mini skirts will also dominate, not to mention the large shoulder pads circa the ’80s. His trademark black and white colours and elegant touch is also present for the Spring/Summer.

karl olivier alber Is Karl Leaving Chanel?

…I hope not. Not yet anyway. But if you think about it, it might be time to retire. He is 75 after all, and there might be some truth to all the gossip going around, which has been sounding like something straight out of a soap opera. Supposedly, Karl hasn’t renewed his contract with Chanel, and taking his place would be Lanvin’s designer, Alber Elbaz. Filling up the gap Elbaz leaves behind is ex-Nina Ricci designer, Olivier Theyskins. If this is true, new blood at Chanel might be great, new and exciting things. Same goes for Lanvin. But what happens with Karl? Will he quietly retire, or take up his second passion and join the show business? Time will tell.

I think it’s safe to say that Lily Allen is addicted to Chanel. She’s always sitting in the front row of Chanel shows wearing at least one Chanel piece (more often that not, a bag). So you can be sure she was ecstatic beyond measure when she was asked to be their new face for their bag campaign. Great news for Lily. You go girl!:)

vogue coco special Eva Herzigova & Claudia Schiffer in Vogue Paris

The March issue of Vogue Paris is a special edition dedicated to Coco Chanel, and the fashion house baring her name. The issue is full of special material including a photo shoot of Eva Herzigova and Claudia Schiffer  posing in great outfits. The photos were taken by Karl Lagerfeld. The cover was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who supposedly ripped off a Vogue Italy cover from 1992. I can see the resemblance, but not enough to the point where I would make such a statement. They were also accused of such deed back in September of 2008. Well history repeats itself as they say, and there is nothing new under the sun. I’d chalk it up to a coincidence and leave it at that.

Check out the Herzigova, Schiffer photo shoot after the jump.
