Karl Lagerfeld was shot by Eric Guillemain for the July issue of Vogue Japan in a spread titled Lagerfeld Style. The shoot comes as a promo piece for the upcoming book, The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld, and the accompanying exhibit currently on display in Tokyo. Karl Lagerfeldand Vanessa Paradissal teamed up to design a Christmas-themed window display for Paris department store, Printemps. The 11 windows representing 11 cities are designed as a travel invitation featuring the symbols of each city and the iconic elements of the Maison Chanel. The displays of Moscow, Los Angeles, Paris and Tokyo are animated, the puppets being designed by Maison Chanel.

The October issue of Harper’s Bazaar features an editorial shot by Karl Lagerfeld, which stars a lovely Candice Swanepoel, who looks like a diva wearing Chanel, Givenchy and Atelier Versace.

He’s directed a commercial for Magnum ice cream, bottles for Coca-Cola, guest edited at Wallpaper, designed glasses for Orrefors, and now you can add to that list pens and lighters, as he’s teamed up with French brand, S.T. Dupont. Never heard of them? Well, they’re so prestigious, France’s wedding gift to Will and Kate were some pieces from S.T. Dupont’s collection. Karl will be designing pens that also feature a USB drive at the other end.

Carine Roitfeld was shot by Karl Lagerfeld for Visionaire’s 60th issue, which revolves around the theme of religion, and was guest edited by Riccardo Tisci.

Here we get a look at the first campaign photos from Karl Lagerfeld’s latest project with Coca-Cola on three aluminum Diet Coke bottles. Starring in the ads are Coco Rocha, Heidi Mount and Jeneil Williams.

Following up on the success from last year, Karl Lagerfeld once again teams up with Coca-Cola to design some aluminum bottles. Lagerfeld was quoted saying:  “I love this bottle, but it’s time for a new one. Actually I want to do three bottles.” If King Karl wants to do three bottles, three bottles he shall do. These will start hitting stores and boutiques in June.

What struck me though was these are not Coca-Cola Light bottles (like last year’s), but Diet Coke. Does this mean these will only be available for the US market? Stay tuned.

Word has it that Karl Lagerfeld will be tieing the knot with model Baptise Giabiconi, who is 57 years younger than the ageing fashion mogul. What’s more, when he does get married, he plans to step down as head of Chanel. Oh boy.

The face of Volkswagen’s new Golf “Style” edition is head honcho at Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld. He poses between two of the cars in the 30-second spot stating they’re so beautiful they must be French. Then someone whispers to King Karl that they are in fact German.
