Brangelina x Asprey
Tags: Asprey, Brangelina, jewelry

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have joined the ranks of celebs who give their names to a collection of clothing/jewelry. For Brangelina, they chose jewelry, and teamed up with Asprey to design cold and silver accessories. They named the capsule collection “The Protector”. The pair have been working on the range for the past year, which was inspired by snakes. All proceeds from the sales will go to help “Education Partnership for Children of Conflict”, which was co-founded by Jolie in 2006.

Today we bring you Matthew Williamson’s first accessory collection for Atelier Swarovski for Spring 2010. Williamson took inspiration from the artist Jim Lambie and his bright geometric shapes and patterns that are indicative of his work. The collection consists of crystal cuffs, breastplate necklaces, and evening clutches, etc… Also teaming up with Atelier Swarovski are such heavy hitters as Zaha Hadid, Jason Wu and Nicholas Kirkwood.

Margaux Lange’s ‘Barbie Parts’ Accessories

For most girls growing up, Barbie dolls play a central role in their lives, which most often times turns to nostalgia once they enter their teenage years. For Margaux Lange, however, Barbie continues to be the focal point of her everyday. She makes use of the iconic doll (including Ken) and her body parts in ways you would never think of, and turns them into accessories; some cute, some borderline morbid. She makes necklaces, earrings, rings, etc… The more I look at it, the more intrigued I am. I’m actually growing a fondness for the earrings and rings:).

Bliss Lau Jewelry

She launched her handbag collection immediately after completing a degree in apparel design from Parsons School of Design and finally four years later transitioned the collection into the markedly distinct body-jewelry of today. She blurs the lines between the garment and accessory. All of the jewelry is created and designed three-dimensionally using traditional garment draping techniques. Each season, Bliss focuses on a new part of the body to enhance and decorate, inspiration is found in history, the study of Hawaiian culture or corsets and armor as well as the architecture of New York such as the Brooklyn Bridge and Chrysler building. My favourite is the one above. I NEED!:)

COMME des GARCONS x Bearbrick

New at colette is a colleciton of COMME des GARCONS jewelry made in collaboration with Medicom Toy’s Bearbrick. They cost a pretty penny, and are made from gold, silver, and bronze, and are covered with cute little Bearbricks. My favourite is the necklace that is a virtual mosh pit of Bearbricks. Too bad it’s $1197.
