Young Hungarian Talent #09 – Julia Kaldy

Julia Kaldy studies textile design at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest where she will graduate this year specializing in accessories. Her interest in textile design began in high school, but after a year of studies, she discovered that she was more inspired by working in three dimensional forms, than the two dimensional world of textile. It was then that she decided to switch to leather, which laid the foundation for her graduate studies.

Young Hungarian Talent #08 – Evi Torzsok

Evi Torzsok became familiar with the world of make up while attending college, and after graduating, she began working with fashion photographer, Adam Makk. She later travelled to Paris to even further her knowledge on the subject. She spent her weekdays studying at the Make Up Forever Academy and her weekends learning special effects techniques from Jeremy B. Caravita. By the Spring of this year, she was working at Paris Fashion Week preparing models for runway shows and photo shoots. She currently works in Budapest, but plans to move back to Paris in the near future to continue her career.

Young Hungarian Talent #07 – Dora Mojzes

You might have seen her work already on Kanye’s blog. Mojzes Dora is a Hungarian fashion designer who received her degree in Textile Design in 2008 at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest. She has a wide interest in design, and aims to create a harmony in her work by not only creating clothing, but accessories as well.

Young Hungarian Talent #06 – Reka Agnes Koti

Reka Agnes Koti has spent her previous years travelling as a volunteer to places like Calabria, Paris and South India, living as a student in London and Milan. Returning to Hungary, she attended the ASA photo course and started to learn photography from Gyorgy Stalter, Gabor Kerekes and Csaba J. Almási.

Young Hungarian Talent #05 – Anna Hachbold & Eva Karpati

This week we talk with Anna Hachbold and Eva Karpati, who both attend the KREA Contemporary School of Art in Budapest, and both have previous academic experience in fashion. Being paired together in a class to work on a project together, they arrived at the conclusion that it’s much easier to get things done you have a helping hand. Although they have ten years between them, they still think alike when it comes to important decisions, but they also have separate interests. Éva is into modeling, while Anna is never one to shy away from designing something extreme. Barbara Bodnar is a fourth-year student at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest. She debuted her first solo exhibition earlier this year.

Young Hungarian Talent #03 – Georgia Fonyodi

Georgia Fonyodi was born in Esztergom. She has completed her high school studies in Hilo, Hawaii, where she graduated from Advanced Placement Art.
