Karl Lagerfeldand Vanessa Paradissal teamed up to design a Christmas-themed window display for Paris department store, Printemps. The 11 windows representing 11 cities are designed as a travel invitation featuring the symbols of each city and the iconic elements of the Maison Chanel. The displays of Moscow, Los Angeles, Paris and Tokyo are animated, the puppets being designed by Maison Chanel.

I was in Vienna earlier this week, and I ended up making a stop at Stil, a skate shop/boutique just off one of the main shopping streets, Mariahilferstrasse. The store is divided into two sections, one where you’ll find all your skate hardware needs, as well as clothing, while the other part of the shop is more streetwear/sneaker oriented offering items from such brands HUF, Nike SB, New Balance, Pointer, Carhartt, Quiet Life, Penfield and more.

It’s been a long minute since we brought you a Shop Visit post, but with the new site, and all, I hope to get these things done more frequently. Most recently, I hit up mono FASHION who are location in downtown Budapest (Kossuth L. u. 20).

They have been open since December 2007, and has turned into a hub for talented, young designers. They stock everything from elegant evening-wear to streetwear. They’re goal is to provide a unique collection of clothes for both men and women who are looking for that something extra, for something they won’t find elsewhere.

They stock such brands as Nanushka, USE, Artista, Je Suis Belle, Miju, Tyra Clothing, bags by Anh Tuan, tees from Tank Theory, and more…

We’ve already wrote about H&M’s Fashion Against AIDS campaign, and the first pieces have finally arrived here at Budapest. They have a lot of the collection. Tops for guys and girls alike. I ended up trying on the one “designed” by Rihanna. Didn’t buy it though… It had a weird cut to it.

Caliroots have just updated their site with a new shop section just for girls. They have carried women’s items up til now, but they have expanded the brands they carry. You’ll now find Made Me, Dim Mak, Married to the Mob, Hellz Bellz, Cheap Monday, etc… Check it out here.
