Vivienne Westwood + Melissa ‘Lady Dragon’ 2010 Spring
Tags: Lady Dragon, melissa, shoes, Vivienne Westwood

I absolutely love Lady Dragons and I’ve been planning for a while to get a pair for myself even though I’m not really big on high heels.
“The Melissa & Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Lady Dragon is one of the most iconic shoes of the past 10 years. Crafted in Brazil of natural and sustainable rubber, these extremely sexy and bold shoes are beloved by the likes of Katy Perry, Natalie Portman, Sarah Silverman, and Katie Holmes.”
Looking at these latest styles, I think I might have to finally purchase a pair next Spring. They’re available exclusively through Epaulet for $149.

Louboutin Loves Barbie
Tags: Barbie, Christian Louboutin

For Barbie’s 50th birthday, she received the best gift any woman could ever imagine (almost): a pair of Louboutins:) Mattel has teamed up with the illustrious shoe designer. The project includes the Barbie-pink, red-soled Louboutin shoes that premiered in Barbie’s birthday runway show during New York Fashion Week in February, a Barbie doll and accessories collection customized by the designer and a diary filled with images of Louboutin and Barbie as they explore the cobbler’s favorite things. The designer created three Barbie dolls: a jewel thief-themed Barbie, which will release in December, a safari-themed Barbie for February, and a Barbie that goes to the Cannes Film Festival for May.
The $150 dolls will be sold through BarbieCollector.com and at Net-a-porter.com. Both sites also will offer a Christian Louboutin Barbie shoe collection of 12 pairs for $40 a set. The diary, which comes with the jewel thief Barbie and is also sold separately for $40, is titled “My Year in Paris With Christian Louboutin.” Launching in December, it features photos of the doll shopping with Louboutin in his boutique, on a journey down the Nile, performing at the Moulin Rouge and in a cafe with a male doll that is decidedly not Ken.

Insa Heels ‘09 Fall/Winter
Tags: Insa, Insa Heels, shoes

Following up on our news from last week, we bring you the full Fall/Winter line-up from Insa Heels. Insa hooked up with Ruth Shaw to design the shoes, and they came up with a total of three models: the Miami, which is the most colourful, but is probably the one I like the least out of the three. Second is the Stand Alone, which is my favourite thanks to its chrome “legs”, and lastly they offer the Throwette, which is most characterized by a small platform. Unfortunately, the pre-orders have already sold out, so good luck finding yourself a pair.

adidas SLVR Wedge Trainer

Earlier today, I stumbed onto these SLVR wedge trainers by adidas. I’m not really sure what’s the point of adding high heels to trainers. They don’t make them any more formal, and just look plain mediocre. On the otherhand, if these would be a plain runner, I would most likely go crazy over them. Oh well..

Christian Louboutin shoes have been photographed by Peter Lippmann. He chose to go with a style reminiscent of classic, fine art paintings, and it looks magnificent.
