Mikio Sakabe is a Japanese fashion designer and founder of his own brand of the same name. His work has been highly rewarded since he first arrived on the fashion scene in 2006. He creates some extremely futuristic shoes, like these chrome-like cylinder boots. Wow.

It’s been a while since our last This Week’s Wants, but it’s better late than never. This week I’m in love with these Ruthie Davis booties, which is part of their Fall collection.

If you’ve been following us on Facebook (if you aren’t, there’s no time like the present!) you probably already saw the first images of the UGG and Jimmy Choo collaboration, but if you didn’t, here are some more pics. We get a look at three of the five styles, which make up the collection. They’ll hit stores in October with prices ranging from $595 to $795. To be brutally honest, I hate UGGs to death, I don’t care how comfortable/cozy they are. I love Jimmy Choo, but I wouldn’t wear these even if I got em for free. Well, except for maybe on a cold Winter’s day at home… if my feet were cold. And if nobody was at home. And the curtains were drawn.

I absolutely love Jeffrey Campbell shoes. My favourite for this week are these pair of boots, which are now on sale at Shopbop for $248.50.

Dr. Martens have gotten together with Hong Kong brand izzue to design a pair of 10-hole boots. They feature an all-black upper with patent on the toe and heel. Unfortunately, we don’t have any details as to release info or availability, but they sure do look snappy. Makes me want to relive my grunge phase as a junior in high school:)

Each is made by hand, and there is a wide selection to fit anyone’s style. My favourites are Edie, Sunday and Moondance II.

Back in September, Alexander McQueen’s lawyers sent a Cease and Desist to Steve Madden for copying his Faithful bootie. However, Madden never responded, and the bootie is still for sale. You don’t really need a team of experts to tell you Madden totally ripped off McQueen. Madden has been doing this for a minute now with other big designers, and has been getting away with it, so why should he stop now? On the left is McQueen’s, and on the right is Madden’s boot. The only difference is the McQueen zipper pull is missing on Madden’s design. I’m sure the consumers are the happiest since they can get a cheaper version of McQueen’s boot.
