After browsing the latest in Summer eyewear, I keep returning to my initial assumption, that there are two types of styles that dominate the market. One is the ’80s California surf-lifestyle Wayfarer frame, which has seen a resurgence in popularity over the past two years or so. The other is the trendy high-fashion type of oversized frames that cover half your face. Both definitely have their advantages. The latter always comes in handy when you’re having a bad face day, and always manages to give you an heir of confidence. The Wayfarer type is more relaxed, fun, and rock n roll. Two years ago, I was all about the Frogskins, last year, I went for an oversized Dior, now this year I bought a pair of Vans Spicolis. What about you? What are you favouring this season?

No, Kraft Dinner is not coming out with a jean collection. It’s actually Hungarian designer, Dora Kosanszky who will be coming out with her first denim collection next year. So far, we don’t know much about the collection, but we do have some photos for your viewing pleasure.

The latest issue of Rolling Stone features Lady Gaga on the cover posing in a world of pink craze and bubbles. The image is quite bizarre, but then again, it’s really nothing out of the ordinary considering David LaChapelle was the photographer for the shoot.

Turning up in Mango’s upcoming Fall/Winter ads is the ever-lovely Scarlett Johansson. Her portrayal in Vicky Christina Barcelona sparked the Spanish brand’s interest in the American actress. But as to why they went with the blond bombshell, Mango’s creative director said that she is the embodiment of their urban target audience: young, funny, and incredible. The photos were taken in Los Angeles by Mario Soretti.

Today we give you a look at the Summer collection from Married To The MOB. Dubbed Lost Summer, this is what Leah had to say about the collection:

“I wanted to create a collection that was nostalgic of the summer that totally turned me into a bad girl. First kiss, first joint, first 40 ounce. Might sound silly but it changed my life. Every girl had that summer. If they didn’t then they missed out.”

The new line consists of a lot of great items ranging from tees to shorts, skirts to bikinis, and more. My favourite is the “Well-behaved Bitches Seldom Make History” tee and the black bikini. You can get the items now through their website.

Here we get a look at some of the upcoming Dunks from Nike Sportswear’s Fall collection. They have a kind of tye-dye effect. One some more, some less. Some look good, some not so much. Look for them in the coming weeks at your local Nike dealer.

There’s a lot that can be said about Amy Winehouse. For one, she’s adored by the fashion community. Karl Lagerfeld once called her his muse, later Roberto Cavalli went crazy for her. Jonathan Kelsey went so far to design his ‘Amy’ shoe, and now PPQ have teamed up with her on a capsule collection. Amy Molyneaux, designer for PPQ stated:

“The range will be all about high-end statement pieces, inspired by Amy’s style. For example maybe an amazing piece of jewellery like a bracelet or a dress. It’s going to be distributed online, we are going to be providing all materials and doing the design, but Amy will definitely be involved in the creative process. It will be very different to Peaches’ line for PPQ as that was more of a diffusion line - this will be a homage to Amy’s look.”

Sasha Grey is back with American Apparel repping their newest creation: assless tights. I’m not really sure, why this is necessary, but I’m guessing it’s a comfort issue, not to mention they’re a lot sexier than your average tights. Look for them to release in August.
