Darkhorse ‘09 Spring/Summer ‘Hot to Trot’
Tags: Darkhorse

Today we bring you the Spring/Summer collection by Darkhorse, entitled Hot to Trot. Considering their previous collections, they seem to have toned it down a little. The new line was inspired by Paris, so things like the Eiffel Tower, and names like Coco Chanel, and Christian Louboutin abound throughout the items. My favourite is the Louboutin shoe tee, and the one with the Eiffel Tower getting swallowed:)

Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony ‘09 Fall
Tags: Chloe Sevigny, Opening Ceremony

For her second collaboration with Opening Ceremony, Chloe Sevigny has chosen to go with a unisex collection, which she debuted at London Fashion Week. The collection “was a “slight homage” to one of her favorite designers, Miguel Adrover, said the actress, but it also had dashes of what she called “gay lumberjack,” James Dean, preppy New England and English punk. Highlights included skinny moleskin trousers, Fair Isle, tiger and leopard-patterned knits, little tweed blazers, dyed thermals and oversize jackets that fall past the hip. It was conceived as a men’s collection that women could also wear. Prices range from $95 to $945, and the line will be available at Opening Ceremony in New York and Los Angeles and stores including Barneys, Colette and Dover Street Market.

Hellz ‘09 Spring ‘Culture Clash’ Part I

My favourite ’street’ brand for a while now, Hellz (Bellz) have shown us the first part of their Spring collection, dubbed Culture Clash. They went back to their roots to create a NYC-inspired line paying homage to the city’s vibrant, and metropolitan qualities with its vibrant colours and patterns. I won’t go into anymore detail about specific items, cause they are all that good. I really can’t contain myself any longer, so go and check out the collection.

Nike ‘Pucci’ Pack
Tags: Emilio Pucci, Nike, Nike Court Force Hi, Nike Vandal Low, sneakers

Nike has released a new pack inspired by the geometric shapes of Emilio Pucci. The pack consists of both a Vandal Low and a Court Force Hi. The colourway definitely marks the approaching Spring (finally!) I’m a fan of both, but the Court Force Hi has my vote. You can find them now at Kix-Files and nikestore.com.

Eva Herzigova & Claudia Schiffer in Vogue Paris
Tags: Claudia Schiffer, Coco Chanel, Eva Herzigova, Karl Lagerfeld, Marcus Piggot, Mert Alas, Vogue

The March issue of Vogue Paris is a special edition dedicated to Coco Chanel, and the fashion house baring her name. The issue is full of special material including a photo shoot of Eva Herzigova and Claudia Schiffer posing in great outfits. The photos were taken by Karl Lagerfeld. The cover was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who supposedly ripped off a Vogue Italy cover from 1992. I can see the resemblance, but not enough to the point where I would make such a statement. They were also accused of such deed back in September of 2008. Well history repeats itself as they say, and there is nothing new under the sun. I’d chalk it up to a coincidence and leave it at that.
