Pa:nuu ‘07 Fall/Winter

Pa:nuu (People are not Usually Useless) is a street-centric brand based in Denmark. They make clothing for both men and women. They use a lot of bright colours (which I absolutely love), and geometric shapes which usually cover entire pieces. They claim that they take their inspiration from the ’80s when “Space Invaders was the coolest game in the world, Michael Jackson had an afro and George Bush was a simple alcoholic.” LOL… Yeah I can see that:)) They have their new collection up on their website.

Ninh Wyoscan Jewellery

I found some beautiful jewellery over at Ninh Wysocan’s website. He is an american designer, and has stores throughout Asia and Europe as well. He has some accessories perfect for adding the right touch for a night on the town, or just to brighten up the weekdays. I need some of these in my life.

Kilian Kerner

I hadn’t heard of Kilian Kerner up until now, but I’m overjoyed now that I know who he is, and what he does. He’s a German fashion designer who makes absolutely brilliant clothes. Simple, yet fully functional and ready to wear. They kinda remind me of Nanushka, only in a more assexual way. I guess it looks like this is the current trend of European designers, and I couldn’t be any happier.

Legomania

Who would’ve thought that lego would be used for something other than its original purpose, to occupy and keep little kids quiet while mom gets some well-deserved rest? Well, it looks like some very creative people thought they would make for great accessories too. Even Marc Jacobs decided to utilize them for his 2008 spring fashion show (as seen above).

Budapest Style

Sure the idea is nothing new. I mean you have Hel Looks, Style Sightings, our favourite, Style Arena, and much more… Now, Hungary has its very own street style blog. bpstyle.blogspot.com just launched, and you can check out the style (or lack there of) of typical young Hungarians, more specifically those residing in Budapest. Check it out.

Fendi ‘08 Spring/Summer
For their 2008 spring/summer collection, Fendi decided to go big. They held their fashion show at the Great Wall of China of all places. Definitely big… and picturesque. Here we have a video of the show. Check it out.

Nike Vandal - Toy Story ‘Buzz Lightyear’

Inspired by Pixar’s Toy Story, this Vandal Low takes its colourway from one of the main characters from the flick, Buzz Lightyear. They kinda remind me of the Frankenstein AF1’s more than anything. I haven’t been a fan of clear toe boxes, and I don’t think they look good on these either. To each his own, but I won’t be copping these anytime soon.

Miu Miu ‘08 Spring

When I first saw these photos the first visions that popped into my mind were of playboy bunnies, french maids, ballerinas, etc… But the more images I looked at the more I started to actually like them. They’re a bit too wild for me though. I don’t think I could sport one of these in public, and I doubt these will become the next big thing come spring, but maybe I’m wrong… The collection though is bright, colourful and sexy… Muccia Prada gets my tutu thumbs up (ok, that was lame…).
